Payal Singhal: A Boho Dream

From Shibani Dandekar’s vibrant boho-chic mehendi outfit to Mouni Roy dancing away to Bollywood songs in a striking yellow lehenga for her mehendi party, Payal Singhal has become the most sought after designer for every bride.

The brand’s signature aesthetic is contemporary and minimalistic, with a vintage heart. Her wearable and comfortable outfits give a breather to the bride from the heavy wedding lehengas. PS designs transcend generations and places staying true to what the brand stands for— Indian clothing for the global Indian.

Joining the likes of many are Shibani Dandekar and Mouni Roy who wore her designs for their wedding events and looked oh so fab!

Shibani Dandekar’s mehendi dress is what boho dreams are made of!

The wedding of Shibani Dandekar to Farhan Akhtar was no less of a fairytale. From an ultimate boho-themed mehendi to an intimate wedding ceremony, it was a fun-filled festivity with so much love and light!

As a long-time friend and an eternal muse to designer Payal Singhal, it was a natural choice for Shibani Dandekar to wear PS for her mehendi celebrations. The designer along with Dandekar’s manager Nehali Kotian, co-hosted a fun themed mehendi party.

Describing Shibani as a citizen of the world and a free spirit who sings to her own tune, Payal Singhal said that a bohemian-themed mehendi to let her channel her inner gypsy was the only way to go.

Shibani looked radiant as ever in the signature PS dori tie-back choli and a kalidar sharara in vibrant hues staying true to the theme. The entire look took about 1,500 man hours to complete and the work was inspired by Mexican folk Otomi embroidery.

The sundowner mehendi was a truly a blend of both Mexican detailing (a tribute to Shibani’s and Farhan’s trip to Tulum) and Indian cultures and a testament to the union of two beautiful souls.
